How we work with our guides:
- We advertise the riding areas that we have guides in.
- When we receive an enquiry to hire a guide in that area for half a day or more we will contact the guide we have on our database via email in that area to see if they would like the job. We aim to have more than one guide in a location, that way we can run multiple trips and we have backups if guides are busy. We will however aim to distribute work fairly.
- We will then take a deposit from the customer and send this to the guide to confirm the work. If a customer cancels the guide will retain the deposit and will still be paid the full agreed price if cancelled within 14 days of the event (this will however be reliant on the customer paying and work may instead be honoured for a different date if this works for all parties). You can see our customer cancellation policy here.
- Trail Unknown will take a small cut of the overall price the customer pays. This rate will be agreed with the guide in advance of being offered work.
- We will send the guide information about the groups riding requirements, it will be their job to work our a route for the time our customers wish to ride and a meeting location. If a guide has any specific requirements we will do our best to make these happen.
- As we are a young company we can't guaranty that we can send all the guides work but as we grow our brand we aim build a strong relationship with our guides... the more work we can give you the better!
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you. In the mean time, happy shredding!
